The book I was reading is called Inkheart. Its about this man named Moe who can read anything out of books and when his child, Meggie, was three years old, he was reading out of Inkheart and the book sucked Meggies mom in the book and Capricorn.basta, and Dustfinger came out of it. Now Capricorn and Basta are trying to rule the world so its up to Meggie, Moe, Elinor,who is meggies aunt, Dustfinger, and farid to kill Capricorn and Basta and stop them from destroying all of the Inkheart books. Can they save the Books? Does Meggie have the same gift her father has? Will Moe ever bring Meggies mom out of Inkheart? This year in Mrs. Smith's class, I am studying two cultures for International Festival Day. One is Egypt and one in Australia. The one in Egypt is called "Festival of Light" and the one in Australia is called "Christmas in Australia". Both are interesting festivals are I will tell you what happens in these festivals. Also the festivals will be educational for all grade levels. in Christmas Bushes. Christmas Bushes is a native plant that has little red flowers on it. C

The Festival of Light is taken place on January the 7^th because the Egyptians believe that equals the 29^th of Khiahk. During the Festival of Light, you have to wear new clothes and then you have to go to church. During church, you have a massive feast. After church, you go home to have another massive feast which consists of rice, garlic and meat that is boiled. Then at the end of the day, they go to the movies or a park. After the movies or the park, a bell in town goes to the town square and sings Christmas Carols. After the Christmas Carols, the bell through out the town which means Christmas is over. I believe that would be educational by showing kids how the Egyptians have Christmas.

 The other festival that I'm interested in is Christmas in Australia. On Christmas morning, everyone people surround themselves Christmas Carols. After some more Christmas Carols, they go and eat and then they go to bed and wait for Santa Claus to come on a surfboard to deliver presents. The reason the town's people go to the beach until it gets dark outside is because they believe that if everyone is nice enough, they might see Santa Claus riding on his surfboard.

I hope you find one of the festivals entertaining and educational. I'm glad you took time from your busy schedule to Once they wear the Christmas Bushes, the town's people go to the ocean to hang out until night comes and then they sing some more listen to what I have to say about International Festival Day.
